Recieve the Gift of Victory

Making the most of every opportunity.

Sometimes we tend to acquire the Victim Mentality. This happens to the best of us if we are not on guard. We become focused on our --> Self. Our pain, hurts, problems, goals, struggles, failures, etc. Its a very difficult place to let ourselves remain.

We forget to embrace the purpose for which God has designed us. We are Not designed to be focused on ourselves. Selfishness is definitely not a character trait we acquire from God.
We are called to a Greater Calling. We are called to be focused on Him! On Him who created Heaven and Earth. Him Who speaks in a way that baffles our mind with His complex simplicity but awakens our heart with unconditional captivating love! Him Who demonstrates His love in a genuine, creative, life giving way.

God frees us from ourselves. Being selfish is a form of captivity. We are no longer slaves to our past failures; sins, habits, regrets.  We have victory to overcome our selfish ways! And that victory comes from Jesus Christ our Savior.

Don't attend pity parties. Don't throw pity parties for our--> self. As soon as we allow our focus to be taken off of God and placed on ourself, we start back sliding and fall into a victim mentality.

We are called to live life as Victors. To embrace the Victory we received thru Christ Jesus! Time should never be wasted. Learn to make the most of every opportunity! Be victorious!

I-Corinthians 15:57
"Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory though our Lord Jesus Christ!"

"Victory is a gift that we receive as we look away from ourselves and to Him "
-Elfriede Schaeffer

Make every effort to bring your focus back to the One and Only True Victorious King!!

God of Hope

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13

Our God is the God of Hope!
We all face struggles, pain, hardships, difficult decisions, loss. God did not create us to go thru this life relying on our own abiblities. Our strength fails. We run out of energy and wither under pressure.
God wants to fill us. And not just fill us to the rim but have us overflow. He wants us to find our hope in Him and 'sneeze.' Allow that hope be contagious! Let it spread and impact those around us in a positive, life changing way.
Only God can fill us with joy and peace when our circumstances are like dark clouds blocking out the sun. God has the amazing ability of turning those dark clouds into amazing clouds of blessings. May the downpour begin.
God blesses us with the intent of allowing those blessings be shared. See when we share our blessings with others, our gaze shifts from ourselves to God and His amazing work around us. God is so beautiful and everything else fades in comparison.
Trust in Him. It is an ongoing, active, unending and always rewarding process.
God fills us with hope and lets that hope overflow to others. May our love, trust and hope in our Lord Jesus Christ always be contagious. -sneeze-

God Show Me Your Glory

God Show Me Your Glory.

A couple of weeks ago our pastor challenged us to pray this phrase and see how God will reveal His Glory to us. I have accepted this challenge and hope this will always remain on my heart.
God, show me Your Glory. To be able to see Gods glory, our focus needs to be intently directed on Him. We need to be watchful for the ways He will choose to reveal Himself; in our thoughts, in our time spent in His word, in our conversations, in the nature He created all around us.
We face distractions that come in various forms and sizes. A distraction is anything that starts to preoccupy our time and deter our focus from God and His truth. Yes we all have responsibilities that we are called to fulfill but where does our mind go when it has the chance to go 'free'?
Guarding our heart starts with guarding our mind. And seeing Gods glory is seeing with the eyes of our heart.
Sometimes we tend to pass things off as coincidence or luck. But when we are intent on seeing God reveal His glory to us, we should not disregard events as anything less than an opportunity to witness God display His greatness. He has an amazing, mind boggling, life altering, creative approach of displaying His Glory. Seeing His glory brings us into an amazing state of awe and praise.

Stay Focused. Experience God.

Choosing to Believe

If you were asked to describe God, what words come to mind?
Strict? Hidden? Cruel? or Compassionate? Loving? Kind?

We all use words that are stem from our experience.

The word that stands out the most to me is Creative.

God is very Creative! He is the source of creativity. In the way He created the world around us and in the way He created us. And one of the best ways we see Him display His creativity is in His love for us. He has a unique and individual approach to each heart.
The One Who teaches our heart to beat is the same One Who knows how to speak to our hearts. His compassion and love is seen all around us. We do not need to look far. He reaches out to each person.
But the best display of His love for us is in His Son Jesus Christ. He sent His one and only son to die on the cross for our sins because it was the only way to bring us back into His family. Jesus died for us so that we can be heirs in His Kingdom. To share His home with us.
God displays creativity in His provisions for us on this earth. He did not leave us here on earth blind, searching aimlessly and waiting endlessly without hope. God gave us His word and the Holy Spirit. These two are very powerful especially when combined. God uses both as ways of communicating to us. He speaks in amazing, life changing ways.
God is alive; speaking and listening. He listens when we speak; pray. Sometimes words do not make it to our lips and that's ok as well. He has a very creative way of listening no matter how we express our needs and struggles.
I can go on describing God but really experiencing God is what drives me to believe. This is the way God has revealed Himself to me already and I am excited to learn more.
The more I know Him the more I love Him, the more I love Him the more I want to know Him.
Experience God's love. Accept His Grace. Believe.
